Yes, it is scary putting anything to do with oneself onto the net. I was born and remain a R.C. but did not even know the word 'boylover' until I went on the internet a few months ago. I was born on the eve of WW2 and realise that I have been a boylover since I was about 8 / 9 years old.

I have never been married and have no children but have slept around a bit with women (not very Christian I freely admit) but have never felt attracted to men. I guess I am not 'gay' but surely as a boylover I cannot be 'straight' either (these comments are not intended to be in any way a criticism of boylovers who are also gay). In the 1960s when I was fairly young I had many boys as friends. I took them to cinemas, to theatres, to beaches, mountains and swimming pools. I was friendly with their parents too. Those were different times - only scholars knew the word 'paedophile' and a man taking a carload of boys for a drive somewhere was not a social pariah. I never once took advantage of any child, never once did I say or do anything that could be called 'sexual'. This does not mean that I had no sexual feelings for them - I certainly did but as a Christian I knew that it would be vewry wrong to give expression to them in any way, even verbally.

By the 1970s the atmosphere was changing so I broke off contact with boys and have not been friendly with any boy for over 25 years. But the feelings are still there which is why I am a regular visitor to 'Boylinks' and why I have found your site. God bless the work
