Hi friends,

It's always interesting to start a new venture. Some folks think that its a great idea and others wonder why you bother to put so much energy into something that seems like its already been done.

CBF could be a forum to share about faith issues and ways to work through them. I have come out to some people in my church community and there are issues that I have to deal with as a result. Being truthful and honest has both positive and negative elements.

I will be meeting in a few weeks with my support group and I plan to share with them my BL community. Up until now I have felt like this was an oasis that I needed to protect. What would they think? How would they react? Would they trust my friends to be as open and honest as I was?

I am interested in others' experiences with their faith community. Was it supportive or not? How are they dealing with it?
