hell and suicide

if you commit suicide do you go to hell?

i'm a mormon and ive been told you'll go to hell if you commit suicide. but they have an exception if your mentaly ill. well would'nt you have to be mentaly ill to think about suicide in the first place? i just find that kinda stupid.


anyways just wondering what you guys think about it.
