Hi ChoirBoy, Have you read the article in Paraklesis by Pedro Morales, entitled,"When Two Worlds Collide."? You might want to check that one out, it is quite pertanant to your own problem. I have had a few similar episodes in my life. Perhaps one of the most upsetting (at least, at the time), happened when I was working in a factory. One day one of my co-workers and I were discussing our favorite music groups. He looked at me and, very dead-pan, asked me .."So what's your favorite, Hanson?" My heart just about skipped a beat! Now, I actually DO like Hanson (they're so cute!!!), but he didn't know that. In fact, this guy was one of the guys who were always wondering why I never dated and just never seemed interested in women. I have kind of learned how to joke, or "blow off" comments like that, but it can be alarming. Your own situation sounds like that person is getting pretty darn close to the truth. I'm not sure how you are personally comfortable with handling this person's remarks, but, if it were me, I think I would continue to deny my feelings twords boys...to him, not to yourself. Our attraction is seen by the majority of society as being the very worst thing in the whole world. Unfortunately! And, as sad as it is, we simply MUST keep our guard up in society. Perhaps there will come a day or a time when we can just be ourselves without fear...but, for now, we cannot. Anyway, I also want you to know how much I have been really enjoying your posts, ChoirBoy! And I DO wish you well in your endever to be a Choir Director.
