Very simple, to show that he loves us.
Let me ask you this simple question. Do you see your own feelings of attraction as coming from the devil? I think most people would say yes, indeed all fundimental Christians would say yes. Yet you and I know that not to be the case.
Look at your own feelings and the world around you. The world is the way it is not because on any original sin, but it is the way God intended it to be. Some things must always remain a mystery, we will never understand God and creation fully. Look at famine, disease etc., they were not created by man, but by God. Look at nature and how cruel that can be, creature eat creature to survive, again that was not created by man, but by God.
Yes you could have a perfect world, but we would learn nothing. Life is a spiritual journey where we have to deal with trials and tribulations to gain true understanding and learning. And just thing of it, we have a God who loved us so much, that he came down to earth and was prepared to suffer a agonising death to show us the way.
