And I'm not up to a proper response at the moment; I was struck by two points however: Your point about being BLs meaning we are asked to enter the spiritual life deeply to answer the question 'Why the hell are we Boylovers' is a good one - we don't have the easy option of sloping through life ignoring the difficult issues. Certainly for me my life only really makes sense because there is a God. The issue of the boy just in the linen cloth is a really cutie - wind up our rabid evangelicals with that one. I suspect there is an innocent explanation - but it is certainly a very loose end that I've never heard discussed in sermon. Thanks for the post - something to chew at, certainly! |
