No, we do not take in an offensive way at all. We prefer to call our church "The Church of JESUS CHRIST of Latter Day Saints" because the term 'Mormon Church" takes the emphasis off our Lord Jesus Christ. Back in the 1830's, the term Mormon was coined for people who believed in the book of Mormon, and at that time is was ment to be offensive, but we (or they at that time) never took offense, and the name stuck.
