Unfortunately it looks like the book by R. L. Holben, "What Christians Think About Homosexuality", has been out of print since June and is now very difficult to get. I guess all of Heather's friends bought all the last copies! With regards to turning the question around: there's reason do delve further than what you suggest, I think... Certainly you're correct that there are similarities between a male/female relationship and a bl/boy relationship (although I tend to avoid such discussions with my church members because they are quick to point out that a bl/boy relationship, by definition, cannot last a lifetime, whereas a marriage relationship, by definition, must last a lifetime). But the important difference is that it seems that one is endorsed by God and the other is not. That's really the key point that I'm wrestling with. Why do I have sexual feelings towards men/boys if God is against my fulfilling these desires? |
