but the glory of kings is to search things out Proverbs 25 v2 As we are priests and kings, that means it is part of our glory to search things out - which is an interesting thought. There seems to be an element in our Christian life that is testing - part of that is making the effort to seek things out; it's not just given to us on a plate. Which doesn't explain things completely - except that we can be certain that it really is for our good, though a lot of the time we really don't understand why!! I guess that when we get our new bodies it will all make sense - just at the moment we've got to cling onto what God has revealed - which is enough to be going on with.... |
