Hi Splash. Sorry to tread on your toes, but I was just making a point for the none fundamentalists and modernists in the group. I think that you can have a good debate without falling out. The point I was trying to make, is that there must be many people who read this forum who must be confused by what they are. They may be confused , frightened and even feel guilty about their feelings. The point I was trying to make is that you are what you are, you are what God made you. You're feelings don't come from the devil, or because someone called Adam ate an apple. They come from within your own mind and that part of your mind was created by God. Many people say that if there is a God, why does he allow so much suffering? You must have read about Norse Mythology and Wotan (Odin), who paid the price of an eye. In other words he lost one eye so that he could look inside himself better. To put it another way, he had to suffer to gain self understanding. God could have made a perfect world, but what would we have gained for ourselves by living in it? There is much we do not understand. I don't claim to have any answers, I wish I had. Dannyboy |
