Matt 19:12 doesn't warn me from or encourage me to become a eunuch. 1 Cor 6:9-10 says that people who do certain things won't enter the kingdom of God. Now whether that includes homosexuals or not is obviously to be debated, but it sure makes me not want to be one of the people included in that list! So I'll try my best to stay away from those behaviors and ask forgiveness if I do get involved in those behaviors.

Romans 1:24-32 says, "Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator... For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet. And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; Being filled with all unrighteousness... [etc. etc. etc.] Who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them."

For myself, I choose to stay away from these things the best I can!

I agree with you, Bonzo, it is sometimes better to say "I don't know" than "It means this". I have yet to conclude what 1 Cor 6:9-10 and Romans 1:24-32 all entails, but for me, I don't see it as putting homosexuality in a good light. I can't find anything in the Bible that does.

Like I said, "Perhaps it would be better to discuss the verses that say homosexuality is good and healthy and holy."

Your response was, "How can there possibly be 'verses that say homosexuality is good' when the word 'homosexuality' did not exist when the biblical books were composed?"

That's not what I said. Even if a word didn't exist for it (though, in my opinion 'sodomite' became one), homosexual behavior has been around almost since the beginning. If it's been around that long, why doesn't it appear in the Bible to be something accepted by God?

I'm not making an argument here -- I'm only asking. I truthfully want to learn more about both sides of this debate.
