How Do We See God?

Hi Everyone, I am currently unable to do much more than write a new post at this time. I have to do this from a computer in the Library, and have only a half an hour's time limit. I truly wish I could take the time to read the posts here, but I cannot. Hopefully things will get better. Anyway, I am so happy to see all the new folks here and all the activity going on. Keep on talking, everyone! With every word, every post, you are growing closer to each other...and closer to God! I praise God that He has allowed me to be part of this fellowship. I love you all very much! How do we see ourselves? Is it the same way God see's us? I think that if our self-image is bad or negative, then we do not see ourselves as He does. From what I have read in His Word, our Father see's us as beloved children. He see's us as the children He has always meant for us to be. He does not look at our sins, but at us as cherished loved-ones. So do we see God in this same way? Do we see Him as a beloved Father, or as some Supreme Judge of some sort, just waiting to pounce on us the minut we screw up? God isn't "up there somewhere" keeping some kind of a list of our right and wrong doings! Folks, God is FOR us! He loves us incredibly and wants only the best for us. I have been going through quite a "desert" lately. For years, actually. But I refuse to give up my image of my Father. I know that anything that happens in my life is actually for my good....for my growth in Him. I have to go for now, but I will try to be here as much as I can.
