as someone who uses computer the whole time but refuses to get excited about anything below the program I'm currently running, it never cease to amaze me the enthusiasm people have for taking the lid off. After all, we all know that that nice Mr Gates has only our best interests at heart and is always providing wonderful, well tested and efficent software - and will solve the AIDS crisis and world hunger before the year is out. One of the benefits of having an AoA over 16 is that they tend to be good at computers; some of my teenage friends built and still maintain my computer when it needs help - the only problem is that I seldom know exactly what is on it..... Me - I'm a Napster junkie at the moment - having never graduated properly from vinyl, I'm trying to jump straight to holding everything on hard disk. It's keeping me entertained! (Word of advice - resist the temptation to refer in your bible study group to your new hard disk that is very large and which you're enjoying playing with....) |
