Hi Nash -- Who are we kidding here? We don't kid around much here about the bible. The word arsenokoitai appears first in 1 Cor 6:9. There is no evidence in all of the surviving Greek literature of the use of the term before Paul. In the ancient Greek bible the translator of Leviticus 20:13 uses the phrase arsenoz koiten; this seems likely to be the source of the novel word Paul uses. How you came to the notion that it means "anal coitus" is beyond me. -- Bonzo |
