"You've hit a raw nerve here, not helped by just having watched 'The Crucible' - which ends with the focus on signing bits of paper and telling the truth." *If* - and it's a BIG, BIG "if" - the Bible is really the work of God and not man, either: i) God is telling the Truth; or ii) God is lying His arse off. What does it matter if God's a liar or not as long as I'm prepared to believe what He says? What does it matter if the church is wrong or not as long as I'm prepared to believe what it says?
