I agree with most of your message, and I am happy to hear you are involved with boys. I am saying that this aspect of who we are is a gift. Our ability to love, to break down the walls to a heart is precisely what is needed for some youth (and adults for that matter). I understand the emotional need in us, but it is indeed that need that can drive us to reach the hopeless children. There are orphans in Romania sniffing glue ready to die, and orphans in Brazil selling their bodies on the streets in order to find a place to sleep. Who cares? I think WE can have the ability to attend to these and so many other similar situations. Others who are to obssed with their own desires are not able to relate or are unable to love boys as we do.

I was suggesting that this part of us might be looked upon as a gift. We could be the ones to reach those children who have no hope. We are driven to care deeply about boys pulling up those who are lost, spiritually dead. Of course, Satan can take the drive and make it negative. We definitely have to be aware of this at all times. However, I believe God can use us, and perhaps for some of us, it is our calling to touch a boy on a spiritual level. This level far overides any sexual desires you may have for a boy. Sex is uncessary when you see God working in the boy's life, and in turn, He is working in your life too. What greater joy!!!

God can use us (the "sick" ones) to bring the orphans, the neglected, and the "dead" to Him. We sometimes shame ourselves into our own death not using the gift God has given us. Again, I am convinced our "dilema" is a gift from God. The shame and lonliness....the time spent in the wilderness brings us to the One. Who else can we go turn? Our painful aches bring us to God. There is a hole in everyone's heart. Some foolishly believe they are able to fill this hole with "appropriate sexual liasons," drinking, drugs, gambling, having to be with someone, buying things and on and on. Yet, we, who have this as our "curse," come to find the truth: The hole in our hearts can only be filled by Him.
