Pendragon,

You say your soul is dark, very dark. Do you believe this because of your desires towards a boy? Everyone on the earth has sinful desires. You are not alone. There is no reason to fear that your sinful desires will be played out. You say you would never lead a boy into darkness, yet you, like many of us, fear getting involved with a boy. Your questions regarding the "battle" is precisely the reason I think we have been given these desires. You ask in the middle of the battle, Where is my sword? my shield? my helmet? How will one know if they never go into "battle?"

I suppose I am arguing that we are lovers of boys in order to draw closer to God. How can we develop a spiriual, long term relationship with a boy that is pleasing to God? We can develop relationships with boys that build up and not tear down! Our fear of falling never allows us to open up. How can we hold back love? There are positive aspects of being a boy lover. We have deep compassion and care for a boy that others seem NOT to posses. Is this a gift from God? If we have patience and other fruits of the spirit, then our realtionships with boys will become a blessing for both the boy and ourselves.

So I do suggest we must do the walk God intended us to do. Do our hearts override sexual desires? Does love and caring deeply for a hurting soul overide sexual dsesires? Will God help guide us in our relationship to do what is right? It is not easy, but with the Bible in one hand and love in our heart, can we go wrong?

If we sometimes fail (in non-Godly thoughts), should we commit suicide? I SAY NO!!!!! Are we not forgiven? Our sins, not just the sexual ones, have been accounted for? God loves us!!!! This love can shine through us to a boy's heart - to give a glimpse of God's love. There are many boys in despair and hopelessness. How can we not get involved and give the troubled youth hope for a brighter future? This walk is the walk that I believe is pleasing to God.

Instead, too many of us, out of fear, "play it safe." This is negative for our spiritual growth...not allowuing ourselves to lean on and cry out to God. It is negative for our world, for there our boys God may have a desire for us to reach. Yet, there are some of us who choose NOT to get involved, who choose NOT to stand up to the dark side! Perhaps God has been tugging at some of us to get involved with a boy. Do we do the walk, or do we drown in our sin, missing the opportunity to help a boy become the shining star God intended?
