My young friend Andy

| Dear Friends, Some of you may rememeber me. I have shared with you a few times. I usually just come here to read, but today I thought I might share a little about the sweet boy in my life. His name is Andy and he will be 9 soon. He is a member of my Church. I started to mentor him about 18 months ago. We see each other at church plus I take him out once each week. Everytime he sees me he runs to me, jumps up and gives me a hug. We have come to love each other. Even though my children are already grown and I am a grandfather, I find that I love him as my own son. He does not see his own father more then two days a month. I really think he has come to a point of loving me more. I think he is afraid of his own father. I find myself in a sort of sweet and bitter situation. Sweet because of our relationship, bitter because I can only go so far in the development of time spent with him and how much my own family can understand my commitment. I can tell that my wife and daugheter think I care for him too much and they are starting to feel threatend. So, I have to back off again. I know you are all interested in real stories, and this is part of mine and Andy's. Maybe I will share more later. By the way, Andy is not only sweet and loving but very, very good looking. **big smile** He has blond curly hair, blue eyes, freckles, and a great smile. Just thought you might like to know.
