Some Recent News About Myself

Hi Everyone, I am writting from the local library, so unfortunately I do not have enough time to read any posts and leave a post in the same sitting. I thought it would be much better if I left a post, as I don't get the opportunity very often. I see so many new and old names here. Oh man, I want to read everything in here so badly...oh well... Andy has told me that he would be giving you folks some news about me, that I have been going through some particularly tough times. But I don't remember everything he said he would write about, so here it is in my words. As some of you already know, besides being a Christian BL, I am also an alcoholic. I wanted to say recovering alcoholic, but I have only been sober for four days now. I am sorry to tell you that I fell back into drinking about two or three months ago (although, right now my sense of time isn't very good....that's pretty close, though.). I have tried to get into a rehab center here where I live, but they wouldn't admit me into in-patient. I just saw my regular doctor, and he might be forcing the issue to get me in tomorrow...I don't know for sure, though. So, I spent this entire last week-end "white-knuckling" it out. My hands are still pretty shakey and let's not talk about my stomach... However, I am still alive and fighting. I can only attribute this to God, all of you, my brothers in Christ, and a few family members who have stuck by me. I need to give a very special thanks to Andy, who has been with me so closely through all of this. There are others who deserve special thanks, but I am not sure if it is ok to mention them here. I will try to get back here again, soon. I trully love you all in Christ's Love!!! God Bless All of You!!! Love' Chris |
