Scripture in the liturgy

Mary? Isn't she an invention of those evil, idolatrous papists? :-) Seriously, though, I've got a book that was done as part of someone's master's thesis which traces all direct quotes and all scriptural allusions in the liturgy of St. John Chrysostom as it's used in the Byzantine churches today. It was a real eye-opener for me to look through that - there are literally hundreds of references. Dirk
