In regards to your fear about doing harm instead of good, I feel sorry for you. God has the power to make our relationships with boys a positive experience. Why are you so convinced that there will be harm? If all you do is focus on the negative, surely, something negative will happen! Why can't we trust God to make our relationships pleasing to Him? My name is etched in the hearts of many boys (and girls and men and women). They too are etched in my heart. I thank God He has brought these boys (and girls and men and women) into my life. I can never thank Him enough! To avoid boys because of fear is a shame. Borrowing and changing something from JFK,

"Ask not what a boy can do TO you, but ask what you can do FOR a boy."

We, the ones with a strong and compassionate desire for boys, have the ability (with God's help) to make a difference in a boy's life. This I am sure of. How can we let fear of doing evil prevent us from doing good? Is not Satan at work in this philosophy? In Jeremiah 29:11, it is written, "I know the plans I have for you, says the Lord, they are for good and not for evil, to give you a future and a hope." I have hope!

By the way, everyone sins everyday. Jesus told us to:

1) "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and all your soul."
We fail everyday. We would rather watch a ballgame than spend time on the beach reading the Bible. We look to ourselves to solve our problems rather than God. How can we be with God every second, every minute, every hour? We can't. We are not God. We all have failed God thousands (perhaps milllions) of times in our lives. We will again. Yet God forgives us and loves us.

2) Love each other.
Instead, we are selfish. We would rather buy a new Jeep Cherokee, than give money to a Romanian orphanage. We may not say outwardly nasty things, but in our heart we may say, "I hate him. He deserves to be put in the furnace of hell." We judge one another constantly instead of forgiving one another, building one another up, and in short, loving one another.

With all do respect, God forgives us. Therefore, I don't waste much time being pulled down into guilt. Instead, I let God shine me on despite the pain and hurt that once kept me imprisoned. God wants us to move on and keep taking more steps forward than backwards, to build others up and not tear each other down. God loves us much more than anyone here on earth can. Can you accept this? He loves you! You have nothing you need to prove to God. He just wants us to keep moving forward in the two things mentioned earlier..."Love Him! Love one another!" What better way than to get involved with a boy! In so getting involved, we must trust God, and we will come to love a boy who, at times, we may have desires to treat as just a piece a meat and have our sexual way with. Yet God will see us through. Fear not!

In Christ's love,
~Once a Boy
