coming out of your shell

JOEY, Thanks for coming out of your shell, even if it is just a little bit, and posting here. Welcome! I have similar feelings to yours. Except to the people on this board, I have only come out of _my_ shell to one person, my fiancée, and that was only recently. I know what you mean about loving and mentoring boys in an entirely nonsexual way but still finding them attractive. I, too, find most boys attractive, and it is frustrating to have those feelings come up when I am trying to love them in a purely Platonic/Christian way. I truly love my fiancée and want to live with her and raise a family with her, but I can't help the double-takes that occur when a cute boy passes me on the street. I pride myself on not judging others by outward appearance, but isn't that what I am doing on a daily basis by noticing how cute all the boys I see are? Anyway, I'm glad you posted. Persevere. Push inappropriate feelings down when they interfere with really helping boys. I will pray for you. Please pray for me, too. ChoirBoy
