Well put, asb. One of the things that has occurred to me is that if God only allows us to be tempted according to what we can bear, boylovers must be very strong indeed to be able to endure not only the longings of flesh familiar to all, but also the condemnation of society (and all too often, the Church). When I go to the gym, it takes all of my strength to do three sets of ten leg presses at 280 pounds. There are guys there who do 400 pounds or more. They are stronger than I am, but the extremity of effort in terms of our own ability is the same. Keep up the struggle, guys! We are all being strengthened so that at the end, we may give glory to God for His faithfulness in our lives. Dirk |
