While individual Christians all have different responses to various issues, the Church as a whole does take positions. So it *is* possible to characterize some churches and paint them with a brush.

What Jim and Etenne are saying is that its our responsibility as members of the church to advocate for change. It is up to us to force our fellow Christians to deal with issues of homosexuality in a loving and respectful manner.

Christ came to love the world. Sometimes I have to shake my head when I see the actions of some church leaders today. And frankly, shaking my head isn't enough...
