hmmm... .... .... help I visited one of the gay churches on the weekend, part of my process of learning about what pro-gays believe, besides, like Huck, and others for that matter, I'm looking for a church to settle into. My parents found out - I'd accidentally left the church leaflet lying around the house. They started asking me about "why did you go to a gay church?" "where are you at?". They even got as far as "why do you enjoy the company of boys so much?" bloody hell. So I replied if there's something unnormal about adults being able to be good friends with youths, then thank God I'm not normal. Ended up in the usual quarrel and storming off. "No, I'm not being confrontational" says mother. *cough splutter* excuse me? You've got one up on me, Huck, at least you have your mother's support. And your girlfriend's for that matter. But then again, I haven't committed to not being gay. At least Dad seemed to hear the point I made about maybe the problem with the "gay lifestyle" was the promiscuity, not the gender. Well, I guess it's been in the brewing for some time now. I should hardly be surprised they finally brought it up. I mean, the videos I've been watching lately... (Maurice, Oscar Wilde....) But why do they have to be so bloody confrontational about it? (and the real problem, or one of the real problems, is that mum says I'm confrontational, not her. She may be right, as far as it goes.
