Just be there..

Hi Joey, I don't really know what to say either... it must be awful to have something like that happen... I think the most important thing to do would be to let him say whatever he has to say and just listen and encourage him and well just be there for him. Let him feel that you understand what he's feeling, 'cause you went trought the same. Let him know that it's ok to mourn and to feel bad. It sounds like you allready now what to do... the fact that you are asking for advice and are worried that you will overlook his needs makes me think you'll do just fine.
