Sorry - I wasn't clear what I was suggesting

You can prove, given certain assumptions about the accuracy of things being recorded, that a person on that computer pressed those keys. But that doesn't prove that Jim exists - only that someone was there doing that; it might have been Sprite, though the simplest explanation is that it is Jim. A similar argument applies to our observation of the world. The Christian comes along and says 'The resurrection is evidence for God'. The atheist says 'No - it was disciples stealing the body' or whatever other explanation you wish to offer. It is hard to get beyond that point and say 'This is proof of God's action' - the best I can offer is that it seems to be the most likely explanation as it accords with all the other suggestions that there is a God out there. Similarly other things may be adduced to suggest that Jim exists - like people who've met you in real life. But that is no ABSOLUTE proof (even meeting someone says he is Jim doesn't prove it - he also may be lying). All you can do is build your life on a faith constructed from your interpretation of what you have experienced. If that happens to be a faith that denies God then so be it - but it is still a 'faith' statement, not anything more.

I hope that's clearer!!
