Post Camp fun!

I read that you and your (I'm asssuming) counselor from camp would get you and another one of the campers together after camp for some fun things. That's awesome! Because within the last week, I've arranged it so I could go over and spend some time with 2 different groups of kids this winter holiday season! I'm so excited about it. I've done stuff like this 3 times before. Twice last year and one time the year before. It's the best time for me because I get to see my campers in their "Natural habitat!" One kid I went over to his house and we sat ourselves infront of the TV for over 14 hours! That was boring, yet great because I got to spend some awesome time with him! ;-) He felt so guilty because we weren't doing anything fun, but that's ok. I had fun just being with him. He was 14. Last year, I went to visit 3 12 year olds who just turned 13. I'm going to see them this winter. WE watched a couple of movies, built a fire (that was a mistake), "jamed" on piano and guitar, made a music video/movie reinactment, friend's film, and did a bunch of other things. And another 2 boys, who were brothers, I went and threw them a birthday party because their birthdays were only 2 weeks apart! The look and the hugs you get from kids are worth driving however long you have to! It's the bset feeling when they see you and their eyes light up!!! I LOVE IT! God Bless you! Huck |
