Forgiven try this. I can't hurt other people because they are unique creations of God, and to do so would be afront to him. (you are hurting one of his kids after all,) I cant hurt myself because I am a uniqie creation of God, and to do sou would be an afront to him. (you are hurting one of his kids after all,) An act damages your relationship to God, when doing so, pulls you away from him. I should know, I've just been reading all the bad stories on BoyTales, and I came here to get my spirit straight. But that is the danger of sin. It's bait, and it has a hook in it. Sin is appealing, and we go right for it, but the worst part is that once you have sinned, you don't feel worthy of salvation. In a way you turn your back on God and say "He wouldn't like me anyway-I'm just a sinner." Since you pulled away from grace, it becomes easier to sin the next time, and you feel farther away from God. The whole downward spirial thing happens (in this case it's no metaphor) I believe God wants me and has a purpose for me, and everyone else. I believe that his son suffered and died, so that we may know a way out of sin. This is what I believe, every other part of my beliefe structure comes from these things. I have no idea if this helps, I just sortta thought I would pipe up. asb |
