Thanks for opening up. Indeed, we do some great things in the lives of boys. Last night, Joseph (now 22) called, and he was giving me valuable advice. Indeed, he has much wisdom, and God has brought him through his abusive years. God always was pushing me to stay involved in his life, and indeed, this 10 year experience with Joe challenged me is so many ways. Yet, last night, after hanging up the phone, I realized that God was always there with My dear Joseph! There were so many magical moments...so many moments that God blessed. Now looking back, I see that God has blessed many of my moments with Nick. Still, I am not quite sure if I have the strength to continue. There are walls, like Joe had. When the walls come crushing down, the love begins. However, my patience with Nick is wearing thin. He asked me to travel 300 miles, and his anger at my talking to his dad forced us not to get together. I had an opportunity yesterday to talk more with Nick, yet his pain shut the door again. I just pray for guidance into knowing how, when and what to speak. Our friendship over the 9 years has been good. A part of me wishes I had not opened up and that he too had not opened up. Thanks for praying for me and Nick. I can only hope God provides the "signs" that He so elegantly did with Joseph all those years ago. Yet, a part of me also hopes that no signs will be given, so that I can let go. My care, my compassion, my patience, my love are being tested. Thanks again for your story! Based on your story, I think you know what I mean by this "hard time." I had it with Joseph and now with Nick. Thanks for your continued prayer that I can endure and that God touches our hearts!
