Breaking the silence

Heather,

I don't think that you need to be apologetic about sharing this major shift in worldview. In fact, I might go so far as to say that in many ways you are pretty much the same Heather today as the Heather that I talked with at the last Christian Consultation. Still full of questions and discussing theological concepts as they relate to the daily struggles of Christian boylovers.

My own situation is somewhat of a mirror... I maintain a "Christian label" knowing full well that I don't match the concept of Christian BL that most BoyChatters have (not to speak of non-pedophiles). I have affiliations with some church communities, but I recognize that I cannot fully embrace any community because they are all imperfect. I choose to work within structures as much as possible, but I am hesistant to promote them as a solution for those who are not already involved.

I have often asked myself how it is that I continue to be Webmaster of CBF, when I don't share important theological points with most of the participants. And yet, for me, Jesus Christ was an important person and I *do* believe that he died to save my sins. And this makes me a Christian.

I wish you well on your journey. I know that you will meet others who share your need to find spirituality, connectedness and peace. God is all around us. I wish more people were able to comprehend the greatness and diversity that is possible for His Worship, His Praise and His Adoration. We must never assume that we have all the answers, or indeed, that we even know the right questions. I still consider your Inner Light to be of utmost importance in our CBF community, and your ministry of compassion and reconciliation to the boylove community to be a shining light in the darkness. Pain, suffering, isolation and despair are all around us... with one another we can move forward and find God working in each other.

I know that the Spirit is working in you, and I believe that we will continue on this journey together, loving each other as best we can.

Peace,
Bach
