Hmmmm. Let me ask: do you think animals are at the same level spiritually as humans? Do they have spiritual insight? Do they think the way we do? Are they sentient? Can they love each other the way humans can? These are not necessarily rehtorical questions. I don't know the answers, but let me just say this: love itself is a perfectly legitimate reason for human sexuality to exist. Procreation is not the only reason why God created sexuality. If it were, why would God call some people to be celibate, and yet still give them sexual feelings anyway? I just do not think the core aspects of sexual orientation are "broken"; I think the core always comes from God. It is only the outward expression that may be broken and sinful, so to speak. But I don't think it's fair to call feelings sinful, because feelings can't always be controlled, and they are not consciously chosen. Besides, aren't there animal species that engage in homosexual copulation anyway? I thought I was taught that in high school. |
