Ummm....

For two thousand years, the Eastern Church has believed that remarriage after widowhood is sinful That's news to me. Certainly the ideal has always been that a man will have only one wife, and a woman only one husband, but at least in the reading I've done, remarriage after the death of a spouse has never been deemed SINFUL. Can you back that up? Dirk
