Would you say that one of the goals of the christian is to make the world a better place? To make it more ideal?

If that is so, then you have to ask how one should go about making a world where boys and men can love freely. That will never be acomplished by boards like BC or publications like the Bulletin. It will ultimately be acomplished by boys and men taking the chances. Was working against apartheid to risky for Mandella? How many times did Martin Luther King go to jail, and how did he die?

Risk is what makes change, risk is what makes new realities, risk is what divides christian heros from christian busy-bodies.
