This incident, along with many others similar to it, underscores the tragic misfortunes of being a boy/girl-lover. We're often told that our situation is hopeless and that there is no help for our "kind". And we dare not tell anyone about our innermost thoughts, feelings, and struggles lest we be persecuted or treated like an outcast. Unfortunately, many see no other alternative but suicide. But that's a lie. There is another alternative. And I think it's important that we, as Christians, be a testimony of "the peace of God, which passeth all understanding" to those who think they can't make it one more day.
