I'm saying your elders and their wives have slept around or are sleeping around. The point YOU missed is that some here are holding themselves to impossible standards taught to them by hypocrites. This is the Bill Clinton who MAKES the laws (like the defense of marriage act). He makes secular laws he doesn't feel obligated to follow himself, and church leaders make moral rules they don't feel obligated to follow themselves. My concern is that when these people fail to follow these impossible rules, they become so overwhelmed with guilt and low self-esteem that they do foolish things. Bill Clinton doesn't consider his sex drive "devouring" or "destroying." (Maybe Al Gore has that opinion of Big Bill's sex drive, I conceed.) But people here are writing things like that. And I fear they are setting themselves up for an overwhelming dissapointment when they discover they can not follow these impossible rules. |
