Alas, a journalist doesn't have the leisure to SHUT UP. You can choose whether or not to try to communicate with other people; I don't have any choice. I do of course have a choice whether to specialize in this subject area. I don't feel the need to apologize for doing so. I spent twenty years writings news about heterosexual people, even though I'm not heterosexual; I don't feel that writing news about minor-attracted adults is any more of a challenge, except in terms of educating myself about a group of people I wasn't previously acquainted with. You seem to have missed the point of my previous post if you think that I've ever used "sex offender" as a synonym for "boylover." On the contrary, I use "sex offender" because it is not a synonym for boylover. It would be just as offensive for me to assume that a sex offender mentioned in an article is a boylover as it would for me to assume that a boylover is a sex offender.
