Labels don't define the person, the person defines the label. What I mean is: If someone calls you a "jackass", I doubt you would take them very seriously since it's obvious that you don't have long ears and stand on four legs. It's just a name and you don't take it seriously. But, if someone calls a boylover a pedophile, only the boylover knows whether or not that term applies to him (by definition). But, whether it applies to them or not, most of them still get offended. It's stupid really. The same people who wouldn't give a second thought to someone calling them a "jackass" get offended by someone calling them something that they are. |
