I don't know...maybe the whole distinction between penetration and non is something I will change my mind on in the future, but that is where I am at in my understanding right now. Something about inserting my dick into another person's body, is just not something I want to do at the moment. I've done that enough times in the past to last me a while. But I am continually growing and changing...recovery and healing are an ongoing process. So just be patient with my viewpoints! I am a recovering fundamentalist, too, you know, and I can't become a raving liberal overnight! As for moving, I can assure you, that I already fully intend to move to Europe someday, unless both the laws and the culture of the good old USA are changed between now and when I can afford to move to a place with a less puritanical outlook. Amsterdam, here I come! Of course there are states in this country with a lower age of consent than 16, but there are other reasons why I feel like moving to Europe, besides that. I have a lot of ancestry and family heritage there that I would love to be able to reconnect with and explore someday, not to mention just being able to live in a different culture. American culture is quite boring after 25 years. As for the age of consent, all I know is that the boys I grew up with, we all started discussing sex amongst ourselves at about age 8, and we were looking every day for pictures of nekked women in National Geographic. (I didn't know I was gay back then!) Not to mention the time my brother and I stumbled across a copy of Playboy in the neighbors house (he was about 11, me about 13). I cannot understand people who say that children are harmed just by seeing nudity. Most of the boys I grew up with were certainly LOOKING for nudie magazines, and they didn't turn into freaks because of it. |
