It seems to me, that one of the main points in this discussion is that Jim feels that the Christians have unduly influenced the structures of society, in such a way as to make it illegal for him to fully express his sexuality.

The thing is...

As boylovers we would already be three steps ahead, if we weren't still discussing whether homosexualty was sinful. Sometimes the prejudice is *so* engrained in our consciousness that we don't even know what is Spirit-driven, what is a social construct, and what is the discerning body of Christ.

When we think critically about these issues I hope we can keep in mind that we don't make these decisions, judgements, evaluations, etc. in a vaccum. We make our choices based on the range of possibilities we see... and unfortunately we don't have as wide a range of vision as God does.
