Words are hardly perfect. They can only approximate what we really mean. I believe that people really tend to think in images and sounds and smells and whatnot moreso than in words, and then they try to find words to fit their thoughts, which are more like motion-pictures than anything else. I mean we, experience life with our senses, and I think in our imaginations we "think" with all our senses too.

As for me, I always write just as if I were speaking to someone. I know that my words could get me in trouble, if I said something without putting enough thought into it, but I would rather not censor myself too much. I'd rather make an honest mistake, than be afraid to say what I really think.

Perhaps all the messages on this board are being scoured over by some lawyer somewhere. Well, I'm not too worried. There is nothing that I have said here that hasn't been said by a hundred other people in different places and times. As long as we have the 1st amendment, I will have no fear. I know that my ACTIONS are not illegal, and my words cannot be, since I am not inciting or encouraging anyone to do anything wrong.

I think children are in a better position to understand God than "adults". Jesus said, "Unless you receive the kingdom of heaven like a little child, you will never enter it". Well guess who DOESN'T have to do any WORK to live up to that statement? LITTLE CHILDREN!! Hehehe. So boylovers are at an advantage inasmuch as they may be able to think like boys.

Boys have a burning passion for justice (even if it is very selfishly motivated sometimes), and they always ask questions about things they care about. I think God likes this kind of attitude. At least such people care enough to inquire of the truth.

Like I said before, I have interacted with a lot of different types of Christians, and I find that boylovers make some of the best Christians that I know.

I think the best type of person one can be is someone who combines the qualities of childhood, with the qualities of adulthood, into one integrated personality. No wonder I like teenagers so much! They have the best of both worlds.

I haven't read Ender's Game. I'll have to check it out.

As for the Athanasian Creed, some of it is pretty rediculous. (Personally, I don't believe in the traditional conception of the trinity. I don't see that anywhere in the New Testament). But it was written in the 5th century. A lot has changed since then. Creeds are not the Bible, and they are certainly not written by God. They are just human writings. I wish the church would stop treating Creeds as if they were so sacred. God can certainly increase our understanding beyond what is in a creed, if God wants to.
