David,
We ought to slide this over to e-mail soon... but I'll give you an idea.

I'm involved in a church that consists of mainly college students. It's a non-denominational protestant group, very excited about God, very sincere, and very "seeker-oriented" (as they put it). They do a lot of outreach stuff, but it's all very much focused on building relationships. Our beliefs are entirely based on the bible. We're not really fundamentalist at all, tho, more like "realists". None of our beliefs are made up, it's all based on biblical values. Because of the location (on a University campus) it's almost essential that we work this way, and teach things this way: based on factual evidence, not just what feels good or sounds right.

Personally, I grew up in a Catholic church, but I didn't like it much at all. I found out a couple years ago that, despite years of training in the Catholic catechism I had never understood the basic gospel of Jesus Christ. When I finally did hear it, it sounded pretty good, so I got a bible, studied it, and soon convinced myself that this whole God thing is for real. I ended up in the church I described above. I hope that helps... :)
