It is a SEXUAL act; and the seriousness of sexual molestation (and sexual assault, generally) underlines the seriousness and gravity of sexual acts and sex in general. Sexual assault, of any form, is deemed VASTLY more serious than assault with a water pistol, or even physical assault - precisely because the of the *sexual* nature of the activity involved. Sex being such a serious business, I wonder why anyone could seriously consider lowering the AoC at all. I thought my fellow BLs had found a way to "de-fuse" the seriousness of sex, but apparantly, generally speaking, they haven't. Hence, adult-minor sex counts as RAPE, not sex; this is indeed reflected in the term "Statutory Rape". Regards 194............ |
