Well, this may be a little late, but, please tell your friend that it is certainly NOT his fault that his nephew is in trouble now. Perhaps his actions are ONE part of it, but certainly not the only reason. Teenagers just have a lot of trouble in life, no matter what ever happens to them. Being a teenager is hard and treachorous for everybody.

That being said, I would also like to say that my own uncle was one of my best role-models in life. He also touched me a lot when I was a kid. I never interpreted this as a sexual thing at all, since he didn't touch me in any private places, or anything. But he did talk to me and give me more sex education than my parents ever did, and I thanked him for that. He even used to take pictures of me at the beach! I was never offended by that! So who knows? The things that boylovers may do do not offend boys, necessarily, unless the boylover is trying to hurt the boy, or the boy feels hurt.

So it is hard to say from what you said whether your friend's actions were hurtful or not. Most teenage boys masturbate a lot, and it might be embarrassing to be walked in on, but I hardly think that would turn someone to a life of crime all by itself!

I hope he is OK. I hope that my reply is not too late, but I do think that poor man needs to lighten up on himself a bit. This is not a matter that someone ought to feel suicidal over. Of course, if he feels sad because of how much he loves his nephew and is feeling compassion for him, that is a noble thing.
