My initial impression of Heather - for about 18 months - was quite similar to yours. And I've known her much more closely than just causual interaction on a chat board. I'd suggest you expand your mind beyond simplistic views of courtesy and "niceness" and look very closely and very hard at real and important issues. Anyone can be nice. Doesn't often mean much.
