You say we all need to be dependent on another. Jesus was NOT dependent on another person. Although difficult (and more than likely impossible for us), we too can strive to be independent and lean only on God. I am a mere human, so I think this is impossible! However, God's greatest command is for us to love HIM with all our heart and mind. Thus, by being dependent on another, it is my belief that we are sinning against God. Of course, is it possible for us NOT to be totally dependent on another human being? We are not God. All we can do is ask God for forgiveness for NOT being able to fufill His greatest command. Finally, I am not quite sure what you mean in your second point. Are you saying that by NOT acting on our sexual attraction that it begins to control us. Or are you saying that if we act sexually with a boy, that we will lose our interest in the boy in that way? I am unclear, so I cannot really respond to your second point. I do think having a friendship with a boy can be a drug (a "high). Unfortunatley, our intense feelings can get in the way of "backing off," when clearly a boy needs his space. On the otherhand, a friendship with a boy can be a very positive thing for both parties involved. Once a Boy |
