I'm pleased to hear that term has gone well; I hope you get those relationships right. Sadly the perception from kids that teachers are the enemy is all too common, and very hard to escape - teachers do need to ally with parents to a greater extent than other adults have to; but I hope despite that you will make a breakthrough with J. As to your point about Classical homosexuality being all Man/Boy - the only counter example I can come up with in a hurry was the Spartan army, where the men were couples, as I understand it. |
