Splash, what is it that I should do, exactly? I don't really know what I can do that I'm not already doing... except maybe pray more and fast more and such. I just have a hard time thinking that I'll gain any additional insight when I've been trying to no avail for a couple years already.

In the above paragraph, you use the words "what should I do," "what can I do," and "I've been trying."

There is a secret for us Christians: There is nothing we can do in ourselves. Really! It all has to be of Him. We can try as much as we like, but there is nothing good we can accomplish without God. Seriously, we just have to submit and let Him live through us. You can't imagine the peace of just walking according to God's will and having Him fulfill it through you! If you experience temptation, let God take over -- let Him overcome it through you. It may not be easy at first. We're so quick to want to do things ourselves, but we need to learn to let God live through us -- to be possessed of the Spirit, or to use a better term, to be full of the Spirit -- so full that the Spirit overflows and affects not only a change in our lives, but a change in the lives of others around us.

There is a very good book that will help others understand this concept, in addition to helping any Christian overcome any struggle. It's called "The New Covenant Unveiled" by David Wilkerson. For me, it's been life-changing.

I think once we're willing and able to allow God to live through us, then He will open up all kinds of doors for opportunity and windows of blessing.
