What it was like before the fire...

First of all, thank you Eureka! Thank you so much. You remind me of what I was like in 1998 and 1999. I have gone to this camp 3 summers now. And this weekend will be the first weekend in my 4th winter up there. The first winter I was a camper and I re-dedicated my life to Christ that weekend. And decided to become a camp counselor just like my counselor when I was 7! To care for every boy as much as he cared for me! I accepted Christ because this man named Brian cared so much about me. He showed me the Love of Christ... and the way he showed me was he played 6 hours of Yatzee with me! 6 whole hours. I could tell he was sick of it. but he kept playing because he knew I loved it. So I wanted to be just like him. And in 1998, I was! But I went to camp for me! I was a counselor... the next year however, I went for God! It was so amazing! Over 20 of my campers made a major decision for Christ! I met SO many great kids! And if you guys want to hear about my "boy moments" at camp, I'm glad to tell them. Just let me know. I've got thousands. But in one night, I prayed with 5 boys who accepted Christ into their life for the first time! And they became children of God! And I've said it before and I'll say it again! There's no BIGGER high than when you hold a boy's hand and pray with him. And when you close your eyes the boy was lost... but when you two open your eyes he is found. He is a NEW child of God! Eureka, Thank you for coming to CBLF! you remind me of what I used to be like... I haven't taken the Lord's word to heart for such a long time and this sunday was the first time in a long time that the bible sounded so wonderful. And then your post really helped. You know Romans 8:28 is my camp friend's FAVORITE verse! Thank you for reminding me! I Love bible verses. I love telling them to others when they need it. I love reciting them to myself....
