Nathan, I really enjoyed your response. You have expressed a number of ideas that I have also had. I think it would be the height of presumption for anyone to make claims about what Jesus' sexual orientation may have been, so I have no idea whether he was straight, or bisexual, or gay, or a BL, or whatever. I do know however, that it is obvious from reading the Bible that Jesus loved children, and respected them, in a culture that did not value children very highly. So of course it is important for us as Christians to remember that it is never wrong to love children. Loving children does not mean the same thing as wanting to have sex with them! And here's another important point: for most of his life on earth, Jesus WAS a boy. He lived less than half his life as an adult. |
